Tossa de Mar, Concurs de Pintura Rápida, 2010

This post has no drawing on it, because I have not my notebook. Although, this post's title explains half of the story. Last weekend our friends (kids included), me and my family and my sister-in-law and boyfriend we went to Tossa. I suggested to them having a weekend in this lovely Costa Brava's village because a wanted to participate in its Fast Painting Contest. Last year, I also participated on it with a watercolor, and now I bought a Japanese Moleskine notebook because I wanted to try something different. I do not know if there exist this kind of contest out of Spain, probably it does, but I have no idea how they call them. Anyway, this present year I proposed myself a challenge: draw as fast as I could and do the most I could. I was a bit tired with how all participants show just one point of view and they stand in just one place. So as all the people do carrying a notebook, wandering around a place, discovering and enjoying, I wanted to do same but using, as I have written before, a Japanese Moleskine notebook. Well, after being drawing from ten to almost four o'clock in the evening I deliver my results and at eight o'clock the jury announced all the winners. I did not expect anything but they said my participant number: "15, Víctor Martínez Escámez, wins Other procedures category". Wow! I could not believe it. This is why I have no picture, this is why I have no photographied my notebook, this is why. After giving all the prizes to the winners, they opened the exhibition room and we could see all the works. Congratulations to all the participants!

Bikes are for summer?

Finally, this summer is ending, strange for me, because I haven't drawn as much as I wished. Anyway, I upload two of my just few drawings.
